Auto Parts Centres (APC) established its inaugural branch in London in 1981 and has since expanded its network to include 47 branches throughout South and Central Ontario, as well as the Greater Toronto Area. The company operates from a cutting-edge 200,000 sq ft. distribution center in London, Ontario, supporting APC stores. Additionally, a 40,000 sq.ft. facility in Mississauga serves as a hub for just-in-time inventories to GTA stores. With a comprehensive inventory of over 425 product lines, including undercar, under-hood, chemicals, tools, paint & body, and workshop equipment, APC caters to diverse automotive needs. Furthermore, through partnerships with Modern Sales, G2S, and Jet Tools & Equipment, an additional 100 product lines are available overnight. With over 128,000 active part numbers, APC offers a staggering 3.2 million parts to its clientele.

As a growing Auto Parts Retail provider managing 47+ locations and over 400 staff doing over 150,000 calls per month was putting tremendous pressure on our team administering our ageing Mitel system. Simple administration task were taking too long, many of our requests required contacting our provider, turnaround times were too long for support tickets. Also as a single point of failure design outages were becoming more frequent and costly, sometimes shutting down all our locations.

Expectations

We needed a system that we could easily administer and provide much better reliability and quicker support turnaround times. Also needed a vendor that had access to developers as we had a customer integration into our CRM called CAPP.

Deployment

YOVU's team was amazing. Right from day 1 they set timelines and milestones. Weekly standup meetings were scheduled to ensure everyone was on the same page and lose ends were handled on the spot. Our system was built and fully functional for testing well in advance giving us the confidence before porting the numbers. They helped us get 50 locations to connect the phones and test in advance by creating custom videos branch managers could follow with step by step instructions. It was honestly the best implementation we have had with any of our technology changes.

YOVU created all custom training videos for our users. They also setup live training sessions and Q&A support.
